Microwave Sparking

The first pic shown below is the result of the sparking that happened when I put a glass bowl with butter in it to melt in a 1-minute time frame. The microwave started sparking like it had metal in it. The microwave still works fine. I would like to know what has caused this weird sparking that came from the rack bracket and is it safe to keep using the microwave?

We bought a new build house about a year and a half ago. The range was warrantied for only a year after and it dies. The microwave started to make severe buzzing sounds and emitted a load of smoke. I would not recommend. The face of the microwave feels cheap. If you bump it up even the slightest, the face plate will come loose. Not a great design and is a fire hazard.

Overall this microwave is okay as it warms up the items throughly but it is little louder than usual and the door shuts slightly louder.

Very Bad Product. It trips circuit breaker every now and then. There is no fix due to short circuit and replacement is the only option.

Bought this microwave about 3 years ago to go over my stovetop. I noticed the handle was getting funny. I sent a picture to Frigidaire & explained. Never heard a word. This is not supposed to happen. It is made to go over the stove. Clearly the handle is defective. Would not recommend

At first this seemed to work well. Just after one year, I turned it on to reheat something in a pyrex bowl and it sounded like fireworks for 2 seconds and then was normal. Thought maybe it was the bowl, but it continued to happen sporadically over the next 3 months. We couldn't find any consistency with the container or the food we were heating. Last night it happened with a Corelle plate and some food, didn't stop until I hit cancel and it smelled electrical. Of course it was after the 1 year manufactures warranty so I was told to call a repair man. Very disappointed in the poor quality of the microwave that it lasted less than 18 months. The next one won't be Frigidaire.

7 months after purchase, control panel died. For 4 months we have attempted to get part needed, which still is not available or replacement. We were denied replacement by Frigidaire and told they would send us documents with instructions for product buy back. That was over a week ago and still no communication from Frigidaire. They do not stand by their products or warranty.

I've owned many microwaves and this one has settings that are off and heat up too fast causing food to explode . I would not recommend it.

The microwave caught in fire. We received replacement and the door signature of Frigidaire was not level. Had to wait 4 weeks for replacement door . The quality of product is not good.

I purchased this microwave in February, 2020. Just before the warranty expired, it started making a horrible loud noise, and then it would have a burning smell. Took the oven to a certified repair center, and they couldn't find anything wrong. It has continued to make the noise and sometimes spark. I think a microwave oven should last more than a year. Very dissatisfied.

Works well. This new microwave has less height than my previous one. This provides a much better view of my cooktop when I am cooking. Even though shorter, it has plenty of room. I bought gallery series including microwave, refrigerator, and stove. I recommend the microwave and refrigerator but cannot recommend the stove. The oven has a defect that has not been remedied and is unsafe.

were just outside our warranty. we were heating up 2 frozen corn dogs for 1 minute and smelt some thing on fire. we opened the microwave and there were flames! nothing was in there that shouldn't have been. this a manufacturing issue!

Your service sucks. I called your number 32 times and never got an answer. Yourwebsite offers no place to go for warranty problems. You want to sell but not service.Your product died 5 day's before warranty ran out and i could not get in touch with anybody. Will NEVER buy your products again.

This microwave has been great! It runs quietly, cooks well, and has a fan and stovetop lighting features. Overall nice design and trim. We've been using it for the last few months now, and we are very impressed with its performance thus far. Our previous microwave was a different brand and it was not long before the thing stopped working. So far, the Frigidaire has been a tremendous asset to our kitchen and cooking needs. Would definitely recommend it.

I and happy with the microwaves operation so far. Cleanup both inside and out is easy. I enjoy the Stainless Steel finish. My only wish is that the wattage was a little higher, but it does get the job done.

We had an expensive $600 plus microwave that we could not rely upon so we replaced it with a much less expensive Frigidaire. The new one has all the features that we used. Easy to operate and warms items efficiently. Another quality product from a very reputable company.

This model met all but one of our feature requirements. The control panel operates easily and intuitively. A plus we weren't expecting is the, very bright, LED clock is a great night light. The large turntable is stable and handles big plates and dishes. Fitting the space of the old over-the-range unit was precisely the same as the replaced unit - though it required repositioning the mounting bracket and re-drilling the hangers. The aesthetics work very well, blending with other appliances from several other mfrs. The big miss we couldn't avoid was the 20% reduction in power from the older unit. All the newer units are 1KW power output.

This is a good size microwave that fits a good amount of stuff at once when utilizing the included shelf. The shelf is also removable making it flexible on what can be placed inside to heat/cook. It is nice and powerful but can also be toned down to lesser power settings when needed. There is an easy-to-use timer feature that I use a bunch. There are also many preset buttons for various foods and dishes. I also like the quick button settings for the minute times 1-5. The microwave also features a vent fan to help clear steam that comes up when using the stove underneath it that we have. There is a setting for a light too, the light can be adjusted in brightness too.

My husband is very cautious on many aspects of life. You might say he thinks he is the king of safety and requires his food to be extremely hot temperature wise. The previous microwave he would cook his bowl of soup for 6 minutes and it still did not meet his criteria. The new frigidaire microwave makes his meal perfect. He loves using the "add 30 seconds" button.
